Note: collectionChecks will only throw errors in editor, in builds the checks will not be performed.

I had an object in IObjectPool that had two lists rented and returned to ListPool, and in builds the lists would get returned to ListPool twice (because I had exceeded maxPoolSize which would call OnReturnedToPool and OnDestroyPoolObject and I did not set reference to null after returning).
