I am working on Sierra previewer where you can type the xml and see a live preview in a split pane.

It's early but I am testing with some of the samples. Let me know if this is of interest

Very cool! I thought about doing something like this (potentially as an Intellij plugin) but haven't had time.

I have a bunch of duplicated logic with UiLoader since I don't have a backing class and I need to deal with an xml string dynamically rather than loaded as a resource. I think if UILoader could take an inputstream of xml and a flag indicating that there was no backing class then it could be used to generate previews directly.

Yes, that would be one of the challenges. I will give it some thought.

I added a new load() method to UILoader that takes a Path argument:

It will deserialize the requested document, including icon/image references and ignoring outlet references. Example usage can be found here:

I imagine you could add a "save" button that writes your content to a file and then calls this method to load it. Let me know what you think.

Ok very basic autocomplete working. I need to make it tag aware for the attributes

Ok attributes now filter out ones already used and ones that don't apply.

I am going to add a recent files list to the open menu and also see if I can get the autocomplete to accept typing to filter the list and then tab to complete. Let me know if you see anything else missing.

I am using this at work now to redesign some applications to use sierra instead of MigLayout. I have to say the layout managers you came up with make much more sense to my brain.
