From 06684837964007d0444930774ea6f1df7561c6f5 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Blai Peidro Date: Thu, 17 Sep 2026 02:32:05 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] chore: remove the .github-old directory Fourteen files GitHub never reads. It only looks in .github, nothing in the repository references .github-old, and the live .github already has the workflows that matter. What is in there is upstream's: issue templates pointing at ansible/awx-operator for duplicates and asking for an awx-operator version, a publish workflow defaulting to an awx-auto fork, and a nox based CI that this repository does not use. It is the largest remaining lump of awx here, and none of it runs. Two of the files have no counterpart under .github, which is worth saying rather than leaving to be discovered: the issue templates and the pull request template. This repository therefore has none, and has not had since the directory was renamed. Reviving them means writing Ascender ones rather than restoring these, which ask a reporter for the version of a different product. Everything stays in the history. --- .github-old/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/bug_report.yml | 125 ------------------ .github-old/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/config.yml | 12 -- .../ISSUE_TEMPLATE/feature_request.yml | 29 ---- .github-old/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE.md | 26 ---- .github-old/issue_labeler.yml | 3 - .github-old/workflows/ci.yaml | 112 ---------------- .github-old/workflows/devel.yaml | 48 ------- .github-old/workflows/feature.yml | 56 -------- .github-old/workflows/label_issue.yml | 54 -------- .github-old/workflows/label_pr.yml | 40 ------ .github-old/workflows/pr_body_check.yml | 37 ------ .github-old/workflows/publish-helm.yml | 26 ---- .../workflows/publish-operator-hub.yaml | 86 ------------ .github-old/workflows/reusable-nox.yml | 26 ---- 14 files changed, 680 deletions(-) delete mode 100644 .github-old/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/bug_report.yml delete mode 100644 .github-old/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/config.yml delete mode 100644 .github-old/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/feature_request.yml delete mode 100644 .github-old/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE.md delete mode 100644 .github-old/issue_labeler.yml delete mode 100644 .github-old/workflows/ci.yaml delete mode 100644 .github-old/workflows/devel.yaml delete mode 100644 .github-old/workflows/feature.yml delete mode 100644 .github-old/workflows/label_issue.yml delete mode 100644 .github-old/workflows/label_pr.yml delete mode 100644 .github-old/workflows/pr_body_check.yml delete mode 100644 .github-old/workflows/publish-helm.yml delete mode 100644 .github-old/workflows/publish-operator-hub.yaml delete mode 100644 .github-old/workflows/reusable-nox.yml diff --git a/.github-old/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/bug_report.yml b/.github-old/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/bug_report.yml deleted file mode 100644 index 539ec115..00000000 --- a/.github-old/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/bug_report.yml +++ /dev/null @@ -1,125 +0,0 @@ ---- -name: Bug Report -description: "🐞 Create a report to help us improve" -body: - - type: markdown - attributes: - value: | - Bug Report issues are for **concrete, actionable bugs** only. - For debugging help or technical support, please see the [Get Involved section of our README](https://github.com/ansible/awx-operator#get-involved) - - - type: checkboxes - id: terms - attributes: - label: Please confirm the following - options: - - label: I agree to follow this project's [code of conduct](https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/community/code_of_conduct.html). - required: true - - label: I have checked the [current issues](https://github.com/ansible/awx-operator/issues) for duplicates. - required: true - - label: I understand that the AWX Operator is open source software provided for free and that I might not receive a timely response. - required: true - - - type: textarea - id: summary - attributes: - label: Bug Summary - description: Briefly describe the problem. - validations: - required: false - - - type: input - id: awx-operator-version - attributes: - label: AWX Operator version - description: What version of the AWX Operator are you running? - validations: - required: true - - - type: input - id: awx-version - attributes: - label: AWX version - description: What version of AWX are you running? - validations: - required: true - - - type: dropdown - id: platform - attributes: - label: Kubernetes platform - description: What platform did you install the Operator in? - multiple: false - options: - - kubernetes - - minikube - - openshift - - minishift - - docker development environment - - other (please specify in additional information) - validations: - required: true - - - type: input - id: kube-version - attributes: - label: Kubernetes/Platform version - description: What version of your platform/kuberneties are you using? - validations: - required: true - - - type: dropdown - id: modified-architecture - attributes: - label: Modifications - description: >- - Have you modified the installation, deployment topology, or container images in any way?
