XMTP Improvement Proposals (XIPs)

XIP overview

XMTP Improvement Proposals are design documents that:

• Detail new features for XMTP
• Process or environment changes for XMTP
• Provide information to the XMTP community

They:

• Specify implementation details
• Seek to establish consensus among the community
• Provide structure for the continued development of XMTP

Mission

The goal of the XIP project is to document standardized protocols for XMTP clients and apps and to document them in a high quality and implementable way.
