Actualization (2026-03-30)

Current state: Trinity skills use SKILL.md with YAML frontmatter (name, description, automation_level). The agentskills.io spec referenced in this issue has not gained significant traction as a cross-platform standard.

What exists today:

• Skills CRUD with SKILL.md frontmatter parsing (Skills Management feature)
• Playbooks Tab (PLAYBOOK-001) — UI to browse and invoke agent skills
• Skill injection on agent start (copy to ~/.claude/skills/)
• 8 MCP tools for skill management

The current format is tightly integrated with Claude Code's native skills system. Aligning with agentskills.io would require mapping between formats with uncertain benefit.

Recommendation: Deprioritize unless agentskills.io gains adoption. The current SKILL.md format works well with Claude Code's native skill loading.

Closed during backlog prioritization (2026-06-05): aged P1 "Later"-horizon feature off the current Reliability/Security critical path. Not planned for now — reopen if it becomes relevant.
