Unable to connect to DG-Lab 4

Coyote 3 had a firmware update to DG-LAB 4.

No longer able to connect.

I've seen some other reports of recent issues as well such as here and here. It definitely seems like DG changed something in the recent firmware.

I'll continue to investigate, but right now I don't have much of an idea what would be needed to make it work.

Coyote 3 had a firmware update to DG-LAB 4.

After the last firmware update by DG-Lab, I can only connect with Howl if I press both sliders down while connecting. Maybe that helps you?

I’ve found the latest update contents; the official sources confirm that the new firmware version indeed causes an issue where manual connection becomes necessary after updating. It seems the only option for now is to hold off on upgrading to the latest firmware and wait to update until the official team releases a fix for these issues. @WaveyDL @Amethyst-Sysadmin

Update content

1. This firmware update adds a pairing function to
   Coyote 3.0, allowing the device to be preferentially
   connected by the paired APP, thus avoiding
   accidental connection to your device by others.

[Important] After the update, if you connect to a
Coyote for the first time in the 4.0 APP or connect
using the 3.0 APP, the device may not be scanned and
manual pairing is required. Please simultaneously pull
down (not press) the wheels on both sides of the
device and hold them until the device shoulder lights
flash alternately in yellow and blue, then release them
to enter pairing mode and be scanned. (Due to
technical limitations, manual pairing is required every
time when connecting to the 3.0 app. We will improve
the 4.0 app as soon as possible and fully cover the 3.0
app. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to
3.0 users.)

Another user stated that they get theirs to connect by pulling down one lever when Howl is searching (using both also worked). And that their Coyote does not enter the special pairing state with different lights that is described above.

Thought I'd mention that here as well in case it helps anyone else with troubleshooting. It's a bit strange that different users seem to be needing to use different processes. I can only guess that it might be caused by differences between firmware versions.

I've tested this myself with the latest firmware. Pulling down both switches on the Coyote while Howl was scanning always allowed it to connect.

I've added a related tip in v2.0 when the user selects a Coyote 3 output.
