PawPrint integration?

I don't see a way to use the wireless buttons from DG-LABS, being able to use those for even something as simple as adjusting the power or an on/off switch would be great.

I'm not planning to support the Pawprints. It would require too much work on the Bluetooth side that I'm not particularly interested in doing. Currently we can only connect to a single Bluetooth device, and we don't have any existing support for peripheral Bluetooth devices that aren't estim boxes. Where possible I'd prefer to avoid non-standard single vendor solutions, and I think our remote API allows for supporting devices like buttons in a more open and flexible way.

Anything that can make a web request (with the appropriate headers set) can call Howl API functions to do various common things like raise/lower the power, toggle mute etc. There might be some buttons that can do that natively, but the most common way people are doing this at the moment is via a Home Assistant server. There's a section at the bottom of the Remote API wiki page which gives some details on how to set that up.

The nice thing about that approach is that it's then possible to use any of the hundreds of different smart home buttons and controls that Home Assistant supports. And even create automation logic with any type of sensor for advanced play scenarios!
