Fix compilation errors for both Linux and macOS

To fix it, you need to install zlib manually in order to build the engine without hxcpp issues.

I also applied my previous changes(like #1000) from the main branch into the internal-merge branch, since it didn't get applied.(If you don't want it, lmk to remove it)
