How to target second image in batch?

Use case- I generate 2 images, they both apparently use the same seed (or do they?)- so I can reproduce them at will. I am then able to take the prompt and the seed and feed it into txt2imghd (I realise this is another repo)
this then produces a more detailed / evolved version of the first image that came out of the batch of 2.

is there any way to target the second image specifically?
this also applies if I wanted to generate a single image in the normal txt2img script- how would I target the second image out of a batch to reproduce it without having to do the 2 together?

the seed used in the next image is just n+1
however it run slower although it uses less ram
curious about how to do it here though.
