I like software that sits between engineering and how a company actually runs. At Rezolv I build and tighten ERP systems in Python. Enterprise software piles on complexity by default. I try to strip that back so the system serves the people using it.
Start simple. Make it powerful later. Most of my time goes into:
- Python. Clean code that makes business processes less painful.
- ERP architecture. Structures that still make sense when the company grows.
- Learning. Reading, rewriting, getting sharper at the parts that matter.
- Clean Code by Robert C. Martin. Code you can still live with in a year.
- Refactoring by Martin Fowler. Changing systems without making them worse.
- The Pragmatic Programmer by Andrew Hunt and David Thomas. Better instincts when things get messy.
