Installation

1. Copy the document_management folder to your Odoo addons directory
2. Update the module list in Odoo

Security Groups

• Document Management / User: Can manage own documents, view folders and tags
• Document Management / Manager: Full access to all records

Multi-Company

The module supports multi-company environments with appropriate record rules.

Models

document.folder

Hierarchical folder structure for organizing documents.

Fields:

• name: Folder name (required)
• parent_id: Parent folder
• child_ids: Subfolders
• document_ids: Documents in folder
• description: Folder description

document.document

Main document model with workflow and collaboration.

Fields:

• name: Document name (required)
• folder_id: Parent folder
• file: Binary file attachment
• file_name: Original filename
• description: HTML description
• state: Workflow state (draft/review/approved/archived)
• user_id: Responsible user
• tag_ids: Associated tags
• date_deadline: Deadline date
• priority: Priority level

document.tag

Tags for categorizing documents.

Fields:

Views

Each model includes:
