We, as members, contributors, and leaders of the FURO Labs engineering community, pledge to maintain a professional, harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
We are committed to acting and interacting in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy professional community.
Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment include:
- Professional Empathy: Demonstrating respect and kindness toward other people.
- Technical Objectivity: Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences during technical discussions and code reviews.
- Constructive Critique: Providing and gracefully accepting professional, evidence-based feedback.
- Accountability: Accepting responsibility and apologizing to those affected by our mistakes, and utilizing the experience as a learning opportunity.
- Project Stewardship: Focusing on what is best for the long-term health of the software and the community, rather than individual preference.
The following behaviors are considered violations of this Code:
- The use of sexualized language or imagery, and unwelcome sexual attention or advances of any kind.
- Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.
- Public or private harassment.
- Publishing others' private information, such as physical or email addresses, without their explicit permission (doxing).
- Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional workplace or engineering setting.
FURO Labs leadership is responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of acceptable behavior. We will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any behavior deemed inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
Repository maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct.
This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces (including GitHub, Slack, and email) and also applies when an individual is officially representing FURO Labs in public spaces.
Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported to the leadership team at furolabs@gmail.com. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.
- Correction: A private, written warning providing clarity around the nature of the violation and an explanation of why the behavior was inappropriate.
- Warning: A formal warning with defined consequences for continued behavior. Interaction with those involved may be restricted for a specific period.
- Temporary Ban: A temporary removal from FURO Labs repositories and communication channels.
- Permanent Ban: Permanent removal from the organization and its digital assets for a pattern of violation or a single severe incident.
