I am a passionate data engineer with a background in electronics at the undergraduate level and data science at the graduate level. I was born and raised in Odisha, a beautiful state in eastern India. I have spent the majority of my professional career working in China and Hong Kong.

I am a Data Engineer and Architect focused on designing and building services around modern big data technologies. I began my career as a full-stack software engineer, working with Java, Oracle, and JavaScript in a traditional three-tier architecture, and have since evolved across multiple technology stacks and roles.

Throughout my career, my primary domain has been financial services, including retail banking, investment banking, trading, and open banking. More recently, I have developed a strong interest in the scale and impact of IoT data and how it shapes everyday life. Its streaming and real-time nature presents unique challenges, which led me to join an electricity and utilities company where I contribute to building a data platform for the utility of the future.

My interest in big data began during my time at an investment bank, which ultimately inspired me to pursue a master’s degree in Data Science. This experience not only strengthened my technical foundation but also taught me valuable life lessons—discipline, time management, resilience, and the importance of pursuing meaningful work with determination and empathy.

I believe life is too short to be defined by titles, brands, or social media narratives. Reality is often very different from what is portrayed. I prefer to focus on what I genuinely enjoy and maintain a low presence on social media.
