Hi, I'm Jakub 👋

Blue Team oriented | Detection & Log Analysis • Network Security • Python

MSc Eng. in Computer Science (Cybersecurity) and BEng in Computer Networks. I build small labs, attack them on purpose, and then work out what the whole thing looks like from the defender's side — in the logs.

🛡️ wazuh-lab — SIEM/EDR home lab

Wazuh deployed on KVM/QEMU with a Windows Server endpoint. Custom XML rules for ingesting Windows Defender and syslog events, end-to-end validation with a malware detection and quarantine scenario, alert analysis and notes on what each detection actually sees. 📡 Master's thesis research — wireless security across IEEE 802.11

Comparative study of WEP and WPA2 in an isolated lab (WPA3 covered theoretically): traffic capture, dictionary attack effectiveness measured against available compute (CPU vs GPU) and wordlist quality, results turned into password policy recommendations.
