This repository's declared runtime floor is Node >=22.23.2. Raising @types/node to 26.x would make the primary type surface describe a runtime the package does not claim to support, so type errors and type successes would both stop being evidence about the supported runtime.

The types should track the supported runtime major, not lead it. When the runtime floor moves, the types move with it in that same change.
