In theory we should be able to port from Linux to Android without much trouble. We'd have to add OpenAL ES support and create a JNI wrapper.

Looking at it a bit closer, it seems we might have to use the Android NDK, a C application framework for Android designed as an "effective way to reuse a large corpus of existing C/C++ code."

The project seems abandoned, but how hard would be to a new contributor to do this issue?

@alanjds Wouldn't be hard at all, but you might consider forking on this project to work on such a large feature. We'd also accept a PR.
