Libra

Drop a folder of videos on a tool, preview the plan, then write it. Sort, rename, map by city, or pull the stills out.

Run it

1. Download Libra.dmg
2. Drag Libra.app into Applications
3. On macOS 15 or later: try to open it, then use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway

macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon. Slo-Mo and 1-Min-Adjuster need ffmpeg (brew install ffmpeg). Everything else does not.

Preview only is on by default. Turn it off and press Write when the plan looks right. Undo last run puts that pass back.

The tools

• Libra Sorter groups by resolution, orientation, and frame rate
• iPhone Model Sort splits iPhone, other Apple, and everything else
• GPS pins videos within 5 miles and can sort them into City, ST folders
• Slo-Mo and 1-Min-Adjuster make copies. They need ffmpeg
• Photos Only moves stills out of a video folder

Opening the map does not contact Apple. Resolve city names is the button that looks places up, and you need it before Write when a file has coordinates.

swift test needs the full Xcode.app. The DMG lands at build/Release/Libra.dmg.

Runtime Requirements

For users:

• Download the macOS .dmg or .app release. Xcode/Swift do not need to be installed.
• ffmpeg via Homebrew is optional, and only for Slo-Mo and 1-Min-Adjuster.

For developers:

• Toolchain: Swift 6 on Apple Silicon.
• Run: swift build then swift run
• Test: swift test (full Xcode.app)
• Package: ./scripts/build-mac.sh
