Pushing a vX.Y.Z tag builds the release preset on Linux, Windows and macOS
and publishes what it built to the GitHub releases page:
- Linux: a
.tar.gzof all four programs, plus an.AppImageeach for the client and the studio - Windows: a
.zipof all four programs - macOS: a
.tar.gz, unsigned and untested
Development builds and media are in the discord server below.
Current Version: v0.19.0
Project Start Date: 1st August 2026
Versions are v[major].[minor].[patch]. Everything before 1.0.0 is a
pre-release with no compatibility promise.
The number lives in one file, VERSION, and everything derives from
it - the build, the artifact names, and --version on any program:
$ client --version
client 0.18.0See docs/RELEASING.md for what each number means and how a
release is cut, and ROADMAP.md for what is in each one.

Heavy usage of AI models for fast development iteration. Refer to AGENTS.md and CONTRIBUTING.md for more information.
Refer to ROADMAP.md for what was done and we plan to do. docs/retired/ROADMAP.md are older completed items that have been moved.
