AuthorIZE™ — Public Minimum Viable Product

MetaKnews LLC independent product concept
Candidate brand — trademark clearance pending

Name architecture

AuthorIZE™ = Author Identity · Zero-loss · Database

AuthorIZED™ = Author Identity · Zero-loss · Database

The suffix is intentional:

  • Identity — preserve who contributed.
  • Zero-loss — avoid flattening away known contribution history.
  • Database — store contribution, revision, prompt, editorial, evidence, edition, and release records as durable structured data.

AuthorIZE is a provenance-first manuscript, collaboration, and publishing workspace. It combines document simplicity with readable version history, direct prompt attribution, contribution trees, editorial workflow, agentic assistance, publication preparation, and contributor career evidence.

AuthorIZE is independent. It is not a Google product and does not imply endorsement, partnership, certification, or affiliation with Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, or any other third-party platform.

Confidentiality boundary

This repository is intentionally public for product demonstration, sales, developer interest, recruiting, and partner discovery.

CONFIDENTIAL MATERIAL MUST NOT BE ADDED HERE.

Do not place the following in this repository:

  • proprietary provenance or verification algorithms
  • private prompt content
  • customer manuscripts
  • production credentials or secrets
  • security-sensitive architecture
  • unpublished pricing margins
  • partner negotiation strategy
  • customer pipelines
  • invention notes not approved for disclosure
  • internal legal or trademark advice
  • private publishing contracts
  • unreleased commercial integrations

Those belong in the private authorize-core-private repository.

Product thesis

Modern publishing tools typically answer:

What is the current document?

AuthorIZE also asks:

Who contributed what, how did the work evolve, what role did prompting and software agents play, and what structured evidence should remain connected to the finished work?

[AC] Attributed Contribution layer

[AC] means Attributed Contribution.

Example:

[AC contributor="andrew" type="prompt" work="book-001"]

The visible tag is human-readable shorthand. The authoritative record is structured data stored by AuthorIZE.

Prompt contribution is a first-class contribution type rather than an afterthought.

Why this differs from a normal document editor

A normal editor optimizes the current document.

AuthorIZE treats the following as linked product objects:

Work
 ├── Artifact
 │ └── Revision
 ├── Contributor
 ├── Prompt
 ├── [AC] Contribution Event
 ├── Evidence
 ├── Attestation
 ├── Editorial Gate
 ├── Edition
 ├── Release
 └── Portfolio Record

The contribution graph is not discarded when the book is published.

Why this differs from GitHub

GitHub is excellent source control for developers, but many authors should not need to understand branches, commits, pull requests, repositories, or merge conflicts to preserve meaningful work history.

AuthorIZE aims for:

source-control-grade historical thinking with document-editor-grade usability.

Prompt provenance

Prompt records may eventually support:

  • full encrypted prompt storage
  • redacted prompt storage
  • cryptographic digest storage
  • approved external evidence references

Recording that someone authored a prompt records that contribution. It does not automatically determine copyright ownership of downstream artificial-intelligence output.

Artificial-intelligence-assisted workflow

AuthorIZE can support disclosed software-agent roles:

  • co-author candidate generator
  • critic
  • structural editor
  • proofreader
  • grammar/style assistant
  • metadata assistant
  • accessibility checker
  • publishing-readiness agent

Software-agent actions should be distinguishable from human actions.

Human approval remains explicit for publication gates.

Publishing services

MetaKnews LLC can separately offer publishing services to eligible authors and organizations using AuthorIZE.

Potential workflow:

Draft
 → structural review
 → copy edit
 → proofread
 → layout
 → cover
 → metadata
 → identifiers
 → production proof
 → rights/author approval
 → release package
 → digital distribution
 → print production

Software access does not automatically guarantee publishing acceptance. Publishing contracts, rights representations, production scope, content standards, pricing, and distribution requirements remain separate business decisions.

Contributor career evidence

AuthorIZE can turn structured contribution history into:

  • portfolio records
  • project contribution summaries
  • curriculum vitae entries
  • contributor reports
  • collaborator attestations
  • publication contribution statements

Evidence levels should remain distinct:

  • self-asserted
  • system-recorded
  • collaborator-attested
  • organization-attested
  • externally verified
