Hi, I'm Adrián 👋

I'm a senior data engineer based in Barcelon aarea with more than eight years of experience building reliable data platforms and high-scale pipelines.

My work sits at the intersection of data engineering and software engineering. I enjoy understanding how systems work, questioning unnecessary complexity, and turning what I learn into practical tools and articles.

What I work with

  • Data: Apache Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, Kafka, Terraform and well also I touched Snowflake, dbt
  • Cloud: AWS, Azure
  • Languages: Scala, SQL, Python, and trying both Go and Rust

I'm currently going deeper into systems programming and Rust while continuing to explore better ways to design, operate, and simplify data platforms.

Writing

I write about the lessons and trade-offs I encounter while working with Spark, Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, cloud platforms, and software engineering.
