I tried doas opencode upgrade and received:

Upgrade failed
Not found: ChildProcess.spawn (bash )
Done

Alpine doesn't come with bash so it's expected that spawning it failed.

Additionally, the issue is missing some helpful context fields (OpenCode version, OS details confirmed as Alpine, Steps to reproduce). While the description and error message are clear, adding your OpenCode version and Alpine version would help maintainers reproduce and fix this faster.

Thanks for the duplicate check. I looked into #27589 and this seems related to Alpine, but not the same root cause. #27589 is a musl/glibc OpenTUI runtime issue, while this issue is the upgrade path failing because it assumes bash is available. I opened a focused fix for this path here: #30499 (fallback to sh when bash is missing, with tests).
