this code doesn't support advertised listeners:

What did you expect to see?

PIP-307 should support advertised listeners feature

What did you see instead?

The default internal listener addresses are used.

There is PIP-338 in discussion which highlights some of the problems.

There's also a need for SNI proxy support to cover all connectivity options. I think that it is commonly used together with Pulsar's SNI proxy feature.
