Command line argument to override the resolver

Would be especially useful for things like Travis CI to be able to run against multiple LTS and Nightly versions. Should be pretty trivial to implement.

Could also consider allowing shortcuts like --resolver nightly which would automatically choose the latest snapshot. This breaks reproducible builds, but that seems logical at a command line override level. Pinging @drwebb
