The MS4 unified stream/recording format uploads its segments through the same channels as the mp4/dat/map triple it replaces; segments are heavy binary, so they schedule with the class-4 formats.
It was committed with a ZIP drop, and .gitignore has no effect on a file git already tracks - so every Finder touch showed up as a modification.
