Gearset Reminder

Gearset Reminder is a Dalamud plugin for Final Fantasy XIV designed to ensure you never enter a duty with the wrong equipment. Whether you are doing Ultimates, Old Content (syncing), or Bozja/Zadnor, this plugin checks if you are wearing the specific gearset you intended for that piece of content.

Features

  • Duty-Specific Tracking: Configure specific gearsets for specific duties based on your current Job.
  • Smart Detection: Not only checks the Gearset ID but also verifies if the items and materia match what is saved in that gearset.
  • Visual Warnings: Displays a custom window with item level details and job icons if you are wearing the wrong gear. Allowing you to swap to the correct one with one click.
  • Easy Access: Use /gsr to open the configuration menu.

Installation

Since this plugin is currently in testing, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Open your Dalamud Settings by typing /xlsettings in-game.
  2. Go to the Experimental tab.
  3. Ensure Enable Testing Builds is checked.
  4. Add the following URL to your Custom Plugin Repositories:
    https://puni.sh/api/repository/gid

  5. Click Save and Close.
  6. Search for Gearset Reminder in the Plugin Installer (/xlplugins) and install it.

How to Use

  1. Open the configuration window with /gsr.
  2. Add a new entry for the Duty you want to track.
  3. Select the Job and the specific Gearset ID you want to use for that duty.

Why use this?

It is incredibly useful for:

  • Ultimates: Ensuring you have your specific BiS (Best-in-Slot) set equipped rather than your current max-item-level raiding gear.
  • Bozja/Zadnor: Reminding you to swap to gear with Haste/Resistance bonuses.
  • Blue Mage: Making sure you have the right set for specific masked carnivals or raids.
