Text blink if navigate with arrows

Issue
Text blink if navigate with arrow: left, right, down, up

Steps to reproduce
If you open / create a text document, then move the arrows in the text, it disappears for a couple of seconds, then appears.
Appears when syntax highlighting is turned on.
This does not always happen, but often, especially for large documents of 20-30 lines or more. The whole text can disappear, and partially from the cursor to the end.

I'm not able to reproduce this issue. @ekkl what file types have you noticed this occurring on?

The same problem. Fedora Cinnamon 31. Xed 2.4.2. I tried to install Xed 2.4.2 on Fedora KDE 32 - there is no such problem.

I've never been able to reproduce this under Mint. Would either of you who have encountered this issue mind trying it again in newer versions of Fedora and Xed? Let us know if the problem still persists?

I am no longer doing support for fedora-31 cinnamon packages, please update to fedora-32.
