At high zoom, crop and straighten gestures need access to image content beyond the visible viewport without releasing the drag. Pan when the pointer enters the 2% inset zone on a clipped image edge; speed scales linearly at four times the original slope and is capped. Keep motion continuous while the pointer rests, and keep gesture geometry anchored as the canvas transform changes. Cover edge gating, direction and corner priority, timer lifecycle, and final gesture commits. Co-authored-by: GPT-6 Luna <noreply@openai.com>
