Summary

• add Open SCL beside the IP-based Add IED workflow
• read SCD, CID, ICD, IID, SSD, and XML SCL files
• extract multi-IED ConnectedAP identity, access point, subnet, IP address, and optional MMS port
• add all valid endpoints to IED Explorer without immediately opening multiple live sessions
• preserve existing connected IEDs and successful live discovery caches
• deduplicate endpoints and report malformed/missing communication data in Diagnostics

Workflow

1. Click Open SCL.
2. Select an SCL file.
3. ArIED adds every valid IED endpoint as an independent card.
4. Use Play for one IED or Connect All to verify the live model through MMS.

Safety and compatibility

• XML DTD/external entity processing is prohibited.
• SCL parsing is namespace-version agnostic.
• TCP port 102 is used when no valid MMS port is supplied.
• SCL is used only as endpoint identity; the live IED model remains authoritative.
