Kernel panic during sleep / wake cycle

I've run into a kernel panic on my dev branch whilst my mac went into sleep and I had my code running.

I'll investigate it further, and potentially submit a fix - just wanted to ask if this has ever happened to you @mrmidi ?

Kernel panics are not often but possible. oh yes, I've done a good decade of C++ development before escaping to Rust land mostly to avoid null pointer dereferences ;-)

I suspect this one might be related to the power management during sleep/wake transitions though. I'll investigate further and propose something that could alleviate it
