Clicking on sidebar headings should expand/collapse their section

In the package view, the primary function clicking on the heading of a collapsible section should be to expand or collapse it. Currently, clicking on the heading for the sections copies the in-page link of the section (which in turn causes the page to scroll). Having the copy action is fine, I just think it’s secondary and can exist as its own icon button next to the heading.

Hii, Is this still needed? Just wanted to check because #1518 nearby got closed as not planned, so I wasn’t sure if the thinking here had changed too

If its still on, I would be happy to take it. My plan is to make the heading itself the toggle and move the copy link into its own small icon button beside it.

I don't know if it's still necessary. There were a bunch of issues that got closed as stale and some PR attempts that violated our AI policies.

I would recommend a button as a trigger within a heading (e.g. <h3><button type=button>Section label</button><h3> — I don't know if that's the correct heading level for this scenario). The button semantics are important and headings aren't expected to be clickable on their own. And like you said, make the copy button come after all of that, rather than being within it.

Thank you so much that makes sense. I have done it as you suggested. The arrow and the label are one button inside the heading now and the copy button comes after it.

One thing I wasnt sure about: The title wasnt actually copying anything before it was just a LinkBase that navigated to the anchor. you called it a copy button so I made it properly copy to the clipboard like Code/Header.vue does. If you would rather it stayed a normal link just lmk and I am happy to change it
