Massive regression in file UI performance

Bug Description

I updated to opencloud 7.4.0.

When scrolling through a folder with 550+ items, the UI is now very slow and laggy to populate file items.

Please revert behavior/performance to 7.1.0 rolling or 7.2.2 prod performance levels.

Reproduction Steps

Make a folder with lots of files, preferably photos with decent file sizes.

Scroll through the folder.

Expected Outcome

Performance should not be worse.

Actual Outcome

Performance is worse.

I can't really reproduce this. We did work on table rendering performance in the last update, but if any, performance should be better now.

• Which browser are you using? Is it up to date?
• Does it happen in the tiles view as well, or only in table view?

Thanks for the response. If you are trying to reproduce, I assume you need to have a very big folder with items of decent size. I can't really see it on smaller folders.

I am using safari, it is up to date. The tile view is also buggy, though I don't know how it was in the previous version. I never use tile view. I haven't changed anything else that should affect this. So, I am confident this is an issue related to the update.

What I notice is that the file list itself is loading progressively or something, where it wasn't before. I'm not really sure what the difference is, but what I know is the previous versions worked well. This version has definitely regressed in performance. Working with large folders is difficult in this state.

Oh yeah true, Safari performs significantly worse than e.g. Chrome. I have a 9GB folder, 1400 images, items per page set to 800.
