Kanami

Minimalist desktop and web app to practice Japanese syllabaries, Hiragana and Katakana. Made with Electron, Vue and Webpack.

Getting Started

  • Install and run or navigate to KanamiWeb.
  • Choose syllables to practice opening "Settings" panel.
    • Add or remove an entire row pressing "+" or "-" button.
    • Use checkboxes to add or remove syllables.
  • Press "NEXT" button to see the next kana.
  • Press "SHOW" button to see the information of current kana.
  • Press "CHECK" button to check that your answer (romaji) is correct.
  • See your score opening the "Score" panel.

Prerequisites

MacOS, Windows or Linux based Operating System.

Installing

Download common installers or portable version for Windows and MacOS at releases.

Commands

Run the application in development mode.

npm run-script dev

Build the application for your operating system.

npm run-script build

Build the application with Webpack.

webpack --config webpack.config.js
