About PoWV

Created by Gabriel de Almeida Santos Silva, PoWV — Proof of Weighted Value is a protocol under development designed to connect industrial infrastructure with digital ledgers through verifiable evidence of physical events.

Its research brings together cyber-physical systems, edge computing, industrial traceability, and Real-World Asset (RWA) infrastructure.

The objective is to strengthen the evidence on which asset governance, operational reconciliation, and downstream financial applications depend.

The Zero-Mile Problem

Before a physical event becomes an auditable record, it must first become data.

This initial translation—from a measurement or operational occurrence into a digital representation—is a critical boundary for asset governance. Protecting a record after capture does not, by itself, establish the accuracy of the original observation.

PoWV focuses on this boundary through three complementary dimensions:

  • Measurement quality: the conditions and reliability of the physical observation.
  • Source identity: the provenance of the recorded evidence.
  • Record integrity: the ability to detect changes to the digital record.

Research Areas

Area Focus
Cyber-Physical Systems Connecting physical observations with digital evidence.
Edge Computing Investigating evidence generation close to the source.
Industrial Traceability Supporting asset history and chain-of-custody review.
Digital Twins & Enterprise Systems Exploring how operational evidence can inform digital representations and business processes.
RWA Infrastructure Developing evidence foundations for asset representation and financial applications.
Efficiency Evaluation Distinguishing compact-data estimates from measured network performance.

Application Scenarios

PoWV investigates applications across:

  • Rail and road freight.
  • Commodity handling and industrial logistics.
  • Environmental operations and material traceability.
  • Infrastructure monitoring and asset governance.

These are research and development scenarios, not claims of deployed integrations or commercial partnerships.

From Architecture to Bench

Current stage: proof of concept in development.

Development combines software simulation, experimental bench work, and technical documentation. Each validation should identify what was tested, under which conditions, and what the results actually establish.

Selected software checks have been documented. Physical validation, end-to-end integration, and performance evaluation remain separate development milestones.

Public Documentation

This organization presents PoWV’s research direction, project resources, and public documentation.

Public materials describe capabilities, architectural concepts, and sanitized validation evidence. Proprietary implementation details, credentials, and sensitive operational information remain restricted.
