Fixed and used — MNE 1.9.0 import raises on SciPy 1.17.1, a 6-line sph_harm_y shim (microseconds, numerics match) restores it, then official MNE reads the CNT / BDF / Persyst / NSX / Nicolet / Nihon / EyeLink / Eximia / NIRx / Hitachi / SNIRF tapes (spikelock).
Each kernel imports the package, records their empty case, then runs the same square / tape / sites through our dest.
