Outcome

Run free Stockfish analysis in the browser without blocking the interface.

Acceptance criteria

  • Engine code is packaged locally and license files are included
  • Worker handshake, analysis, cancellation, timeout, and restart are explicit
  • Quick and Balanced profiles are versioned
  • Single-thread fallback works
  • Multithreading is capability-gated
  • Memory, CPU, download, and payload limits are bounded
  • Progress reflects actual engine work
  • Unsupported devices receive a useful fallback
