Currently the repo doesn't provide a license, so for instance apps can't use the example tone3000 client directly or copy significant chunks. It would be great if it was just CC0, The Unlicense etc.

In addition there doesn't seem to be an example for searching the API filtered by license, but the type do declare a license filter type.

good call - license added. MIT is what t3k and nam have been using and should be sufficiently permissive.

the api does not yet have a filter by tone license param. 99% of tones are published under the general T3K License:

"Users may download and use the data file in software and publish the resulting outputs without royalties or restrictions. However, they may not upload, republish, or distribute the data file without the author's permission."

I'm scoping adding the param to the API regardless. thanks
