Re-running an installer now upgrades the installed rule instead of skipping files that already have it.

Install or upgrade a project (no clone needed):

What's changed:

  • All four installers replace their own rule block in place, including blocks written by v0.1.0; the Cursor rule is regenerated.
  • Everything outside the block is preserved, including CRLF line endings; re-running on an up-to-date file leaves it byte-identical. PowerShell installers now write UTF-8 without a BOM.
  • The rule snippet ends with a <!-- /token-efficient-work --> marker that bounds the block.
  • Remote installs fetch the skill and snippet from the matching release tag instead of master (override with TEW_REF).
  • CI tests upgrading v0.1.0 and stale blocks on bash and PowerShell.

Initial release: skill + config-hook combo that stops coding agents from
re-reading files after successful edits, reading whole files for small
changes, running unrequested "just to be safe" checks, and over-explaining.

    with vs. without the skill — 2 tool calls vs. 4, ~30% fewer input tokens
