It is always difficult to manage several projects with different settings, which I myself have experienced, so I started in my thoughts to create an easier way to access my projects. A large number of authors had their own approach. So here I am offering mine.
CodeIgniter is an Application Development Framework - a toolkit - for people who build web sites using PHP. Its goal is to enable you to develop projects much faster than you could if you were writing code from scratch, by providing a rich set of libraries for commonly needed tasks, as well as a simple interface and logical structure to access these libraries. CodeIgniter lets you creatively focus on your project by minimizing the amount of code needed for a given task.
CodeIgniter 4 is the latest version of the framework.
CodeIgniter 4 is the legacy version of the framework, intended for use with PHP 8.4+. This version is in maintenance, receiving mostly just security updates.
PHP version 8.4 or newer is recommended.
It should work on 8.4 as well, but we strongly advise you NOT to run such old versions of PHP, because of potential security and performance issues, as well as missing features.

The first way is classically to create a project via the packagist list with the following command:
composer create-project codeigniter/frameworkCreate a directory src where the projects that the developer wants to work would be created.

Or
Copy this package to your local computer and type the following command in that current directory
composer installComposer itself will install the accompanying components and set all the parameters of that project
Basic settings can be easily changed in a regular text editor
