Hi,
I’m trying to run Outlast through Madeira on an iPhone SE (2022), but the game consistently crashes during startup.
The game successfully launches and OLGame.exe begins loading normally, including its DLLs and dependencies. However, it eventually crashes with:
C000001D — Illegal instruction
The log points to:
OLGame.exe + 0x121A0B6
and then:
wine: Unhandled illegal instruction
Immediately around the crash, FEX/JIT is active and a JIT dump is generated.
There are also several FEX memory/JIT warnings. The JIT pool initially requests 896 MB but is reduced to 624 MB because a large enough contiguous region cannot be found. FEX also reports that only a 4 GB arena was reserved and warns that heavy titles may exhaust it.
Memory+ enabled.
The crash therefore seems to happen inside the FEX/JIT translation path rather than being a simple missing-DLL or game-file issue.
Could you please check whether C000001D at OLGame.exe+0x121A0B6 is related to an unsupported x86 instruction, disabled CPU features/AVX, or a FEX JIT/code-generation issue?
I attached log.

Thanks.
