The ops standards registry got codified on 2026-08-16 and four spots in REPOSITORY_ONBOARDING.md now contradict it. This aligns them:

  • Coverage now names Codecov as the org coverage cloud. The Qlty Cloud App and its maintainability badge stay installed, its checks stay non-required, but its coverage upload is not the coverage system.
  • Trivy is deprecated org-wide in favor of Grype. The container-image bullet drops the "or the current organization scanner" hedge, and the Qlty section warns not to copy the trivy plugin block from the drydock/portwing reference configs (removal tracked as drydock#753 and portwing#135). trufflehog stays a qlty plugin.
  • The CodeRabbit confirm step is impossible on private repos (free Pro reviews public only), so the checklist now says to skip the bot config there and use cross-account human review until the repo goes public.
  • New checklist item for Greptile: keep greptile.json at exactly {"skipReview": "AUTOMATIC"} (contract-tested here) and, for repos that want opt-in second opinions, add the label-gated caller that hits greptile-summon.yml at a pinned SHA. Never automatic.

Doc-only change; markdownlint clean.

@scttbnsn, you've reached your PR review limit, so we couldn't start this review.

Limit details: You’ve used all 1 included review currently available under your plan.

You've used all free OSS reviews for now. Wait for the free limit to reset to keep reviewing this public repository.

How can I continue?

After more reviews become available, a review can be triggered using the @coderabbitai review command as a PR comment. Alternatively, push new commits to this PR.

To avoid repeated limits, reduce automatic review volume by pausing incremental auto-reviews earlier, using label-based review opt-in, excluding WIP or generated PR titles, or requesting reviews manually when the PR is ready. If your team needs uninterrupted high-volume reviews, an organization admin can enable usage-based reviews.

How do review limits work?

CodeRabbit enforces per-developer PR review limits for each organization. Most developers receive the normal plan review availability.

For paid Pro and Pro+ PR reviews, CodeRabbit uses adaptive limits for sustained high-volume activity. When a developer's recent PR review activity reaches the 95th percentile or higher among CodeRabbit users, additional reviews become available more gradually as earlier reviews age out of the rolling window.

Please refer docs for additional details.

REPOSITORY_ONBOARDING.md now documents conditional CodeRabbit use, label-gated Greptile reviews, Codecov coverage reporting, Grype container scanning, and updated Qlty configuration requirements.

Changes

Repository onboarding guidance

Layer / File(s) Summary
Review and quality tool requirements
REPOSITORY_ONBOARDING.md
Defines private-repository handling for CodeRabbit, exact Greptile configuration, optional label-triggered reviews, and Qlty plugin and quality-gate requirements.
Coverage and container scanning guidance
REPOSITORY_ONBOARDING.md
Specifies Codecov for coverage reporting, standardizes container scanning on Grype, and prohibits Trivy. Qlty Cloud checks and enrollment remain non-required.

Estimated code review effort: 1 (Trivial) | ~5 minutes

Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to a6a07

The onboarding guidance changes how private repositories handle CodeRabbit reviews, but it currently makes an inaccurate claim about Free/Pro availability and public-only reviews, which could lead teams to configure or skip reviews incorrectly. Merge should wait for that wording to be corrected.

* ci(workflows): add module-directory input to node-ci

Mirrors go-ci's module-directory idiom: a string input defaulting to

repo with several independently-gated Node projects can call node-ci
once per project. The default preserves current behavior for existing

Extends the reusable CI contract test to assert the new input and its
threading, matching how run-test/run-lint were added for go-ci in #19.

CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md is Contributor Covenant 2.0 (drydock's tuned copy) with

Discussions on/off split for product vs meta repos.

* test(community): assert the code of conduct in the community-health contract
